Here Is What The Job Entails As a Key Account Manager, you will act as a trusted advisor and serve as the primary contact for large and x-large accounts in the water sector — including utilities, municipalities, and infrastructure partners. You will play a pivotal role in strengthening Kamstrup’s market position, securing competitive advantages and building a strong pipeline of new KAM opportunities with existing and new customers across Germany and Austria.
More specifically, you will be:
Developing and executing account plans, sales activities and pricing strategies for large and x-large utilities
Negotiating contracts and prices in accordance with Kamstrup’s policy with a focus on long-term value creation
Driving pipeline growth, managing offers, and closing deals in compliance with targets
Coordinating internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless customer engagement
Maintaining CRM, forecasts, and providing insights to sales management for continuous improvement
You will experience strategic impact and freedom to drive innovation and make a tangible impact as you shape a more value-adding and sustainable future for our customers in the water utility industry.
Travel is a key component of this role, with an expected annual travel commitment of around 40%.

Less About Us, More About You We are looking for an experienced Key Account Manager with a minimum of five years of experience in B2B sales, ideally within the smart metering industry, who is ready to drive customer success and business growth. You will achieve this by building strong, long-term customer relationships and developing customer-centric account strategies based on trust, performance, and shared goals.
In order to succeed, we imagine that you:
Have a proven track-record in driving large account B2B sales of technical products and solutions (preferable Smart Metering industry), including building up a pipeline, while maintaining existing customers.
Have excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills
Are goal-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
Act as the CEO of your sales territory — taking charge, setting direction, and delivering growth
As we are an international organization it is important that you are fluent in English and German.
