Territory Account Manager – Industrial Solutions The Territory Account Manager (TAM) – Industrial Solutions is responsible for driving revenue and margin growth across an assigned customer portfolio and defined geographic territory. This role requires strong field execution, technical sales expertise, and customer relationship development. The TAM acts as the primary face of INS to clients, representing the company and its partners with professionalism and discipline. The TAM works closely with Inside Sales Representatives (ISRs), Sales Engineers (SEs), Solution Specialists, and partners to develop opportunities, provide value-based solutions, and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the sales cycle.

Duties & Responsibilities

Represent INS and its partners professionally to existing customers and new prospects

Drive consistent achievement of revenue and profitability targets within top regional accounts

Develop and maintain a healthy funnel of qualified opportunities across the assigned region

Lead customer engagements, conduct lead follow-ups, and convert prospects into long-term business

Understand and communicate customer needs, tailoring solutions that align with INS’s portfolio

Leverage internal and external resources to present the right solution at the right time

Navigate complex customer and partner organizations to build consensus and accelerate growth

Act as the internal quarterback to coordinate with SEs, ISRs, Solutions Sales, and Service teams

Collaborate with Inside Sales and Operations to ensure client expectations are fulfilled

Enter quotes and support order management, when necessary, as a backup to Customer Service

Develop strong working relationships with strategic accounts, industry influencers, and partner contacts

Maintain thorough understanding of networking, wireless, automation, and IoT products and how they apply to customer applications

Education Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline or equivalent experience

Experience

10 years of experience in technical sales or industrial networking/automation

Proven success in customer‑facing roles with complex product solutions

Sales & Technical Skills

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Experience with networking, wireless, automation, and IoT technologies

Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple demands in a fast‑paced environment

Comfort navigating ambiguous customer requirements and closing deals

Hunter mentality – proactive, self‑starting, and highly motivated

Ability to effectively collaborate across internal teams and partner organizations

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with CRM and pipeline management systems

Experience delivering technical presentations and developing account strategies

Demonstrated ability to open new accounts and grow existing customers

Physical & Environmental Requirements

Field‑based and in‑person customer‑facing role requiring regular travel throughout the territory

Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods and operate a computer and telephone

Additional Requirements

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening

Location INS – Remote Office
