
Sales Account Manager

The Sales / Account Manager will play a critical leadership support role within the department, servicing
major national mass market and off-price retail accounts
across multiple product categories within the home goods / accessories space. Manage high-volume purchase orders from receipt through delivery, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and accountability throughout the process.
Maintain proactive communication with factories and supply chain partners to support key programs and protect delivery schedules.
Communicate directly and professionally with retail buyers and planning teams to support strategic account management.
Monitor retail calendars, promotional timelines, and open-to-buy windows to align internal execution with retailer needs.
Oversee cost sheets, margin analysis, and pricing structures with strong commercial discipline.
Ensure compliance with retailer routing, labeling, packaging, and vendor standards.
Partner closely with Production, Product Development, Design, and Logistics teams to support seamless program execution.
Develop buyer presentations, reporting materials, and performance recaps with accuracy and clarity.
Identify operational or commercial risks early and implement solutions before escalation.
Maintain high standards of accuracy, organization, and follow-through across all accounts.
Perform related duties as assigned.
COMPETENCIES
Strong understanding of wholesale product development, production processes, costing strategies, and major retailer compliance frameworks.
Demonstrated experience supporting significant mass market and/or off-price retail accounts.
Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency, including margin analysis, forecasting support, and data-driven reporting.
Strong commercial awareness with a clear understanding of retail urgency and buyer expectations.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and execution-focused.
Confident communicator capable of working effectively with senior leadership and external retail partners.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and complex programs while maintaining speed and accuracy.
Ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Experience working with major national retailers, mass market, or off-price accounts strongly preferred.
Experience in consumer goods, home goods, accessories, or related product categories preferred.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 5+ years of sales support, account management, or wholesale retail experience.
