Publicly traded medical device company is seeking a hands‑on Associate Director of Accounting to join their expanding team. This position will oversee both operational and technical accounting function and play key role in supporting the Company’s continued growth.

Responsibilities:

Oversee day‑to‑day accounting function include AP, AR, Payroll, Month‑end‑close, reconciliations, and journal entries.

Maintain the general ledger and ensure compliance with US GAAP.

Own revenue recognition to ensure proper accounting treatment as it relates to revenue recognition ASC 606.

Perform monthly close procedures for revenue, including journal entries, gross‑to‑net adjustments, accounts receivable, and preparation of financial reports.

Assist with technical accounting including SEC filing, Stock Administration

Assist the technical accounting function including research and accounting memos and business process documentation.

Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; prepare flux analysis; prepare schedules for audits and reviews.

Partner with external auditors to provide audit support and to ensure a smooth quarterly and annual audit.

Maintain and update the RCM quarterly and assist with SOX testing and compliance.

Lead the effort to implement Sunshine reporting for the Company.

Work cross functionally with R&D, Clinical, Operations, and HR to align finance with business needs.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance

CPA, ideally public/private mix experience in biotech or medical device industry

Minimum 8 plus years of experience in accounting in startup or high‑growth environment

Strong understanding GAAP, SEC reporting, SOX compliance, and technical accounting

Experience with Sage/Intacct and Equity Edge is a plus

Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
