About the Role
Our client is seeking a candidate to coordinate ocean import and export shipments, managing documentation, carrier and agent communications, customs interactions, and final delivery or vessel departure. Requirements
Responsibilities
Ocean Import: Coordinate ocean import shipments from origin to final delivery. Review and process shipping documents (B/L, Invoice, Packing List, Arrival Notice). File ISF (10+2) and ensure compliance with U.S. Customs regulations. Coordinate customs clearance with brokers and resolve clearance issues. Arrange drayage, rail, and final delivery with trucking companies. Monitor vessel schedules and provide ETA updates to customers. Handle demurrage, detention, and per diem issues. Communicate with overseas agents, carriers, and customers. Issue arrival notices and process freight invoices. Resolve cargo delays, discrepancies, or damages. Ocean Export: Coordinate ocean export shipments from booking to vessel departure. Prepare and submit shipping instructions (SI) to ocean carriers. Ensure timely filing of AES/EEI and obtain ITN numbers. Verify export documentation (B/L, Commercial Invoice, Packing List). Coordinate container pickup, loading, and return. Ensure compliance with export regulations and carrier requirements. Communicate with shippers, overseas agents, and carriers. Track vessel schedules and confirm cargo loading. Handle export billing and cost confirmation. Resolve booking, documentation, or cut-off related issues. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree 0 to 3 years of experience in the logistics industry (preferred) English and Korean bilingual Excellent organizational and communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word) Benefits
Compensation
The base salary range for this role is between $50,000-$55,000 yearly, and your base salary will depend on your experiences, qualifications, and skills.
