Job Description

Strong media relations skills, previous agency experience combined with an enthusiastic approach to providing outstanding client service is the foundation of this position. The primary responsibilities are to liaison between Magrino and the travel clients, to implement PR programs and tactics, serve as one of the day-to-day contacts for both the media and clients, and handle many of the writing tasks for the account. Responsibilities

Manage all tasks, projects, and functions of accounts Complete communication initiatives Apply interpersonal, conceptual, problem solving, consulting and teaching skills Manage and improve media relations Edit and ensure the quality of media materials Understand the focus and needs of the clients; anticipate client needs in advance Identify hot topics for the client and monitor trends; proactively initiating coverage Initiate, prepare and attend client meetings Develop a variety of press materials including timelines, press releases, media alerts, photo captions, client memos, pitch letters, status reports, and gossip items Proactively identify issues as part of media relations and recommend solutions/media opportunities Call on and track editorial calendars for clients Participate in new business initiatives: plan writing, presentation Working knowledge of social networks and ability to assist clients with developing strategies and monitoring share of voice. Strong understanding of print columns of magazines, newspapers, and online media with the ability to provide insight on appropriate print/online pitches Core Competencies Required

BA/BS Degree is preferred 2-3 years minimum experience in public relations Knowledge and Skills Required

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Detail oriented and results driven Ability to prioritize while simultaneously working on numerous projects
