Product Developer- Hydration and Softgoods

to join our team and support our continued growth.

This role will be involved in bringing new products and innovation to the mobile cooling category for the Dometic family of brands. Under the guidance of the Director of Design, this role will be responsible for contributing to all parts of the product development process.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Own development of all decorated inline, SMU, and licensed hydration decoration projects

Assist on the development of soft side projects

Ensure that designs are audited for construction & manufacturing efficiencies, adherence to design brief requirements, and quality standards, and any and all functional and/or commercial prerequisites.

Actively collaborate with designers and the Product Manager and factory on implementing proposed design changes.

Own the development calendar, ensuring that it is aligned with the timelines outlined by the Product Manager

Manage the factory prototyping process to meet calendar requirements as defined by the Product Manager.

Ensure that factory BOMs (IQS) are audited for 1:1 accuracy.

Work closely with factories and the product team to ensure that design and product specifications are complete and thoroughly communicated to factory partners for accurate execution during the sampling and pre-production phases.

Coordinate with the Designer, Product Manager, Quality Control, Sourcing and Compliance to ensure that all materials and techniques have been tested prior to adoption and meet company standards

Create reference documents for various production techniques, applications and trims; including costing, MOQs, and leadtimes

Report new innovations in materials, production methods and/or vendors to the product team

Deliver development on cost, on spec and on time product.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications A suitable background would be a solid experience within the following qualifications and experiences:

High School Diploma, GED or higher

Minimum 2 years’ experience in Product Development preferred

Professional, respectful, and positive communication style and demeanor

Strong desire to be involved with a team/s and work toward a common goal

Ability to juggle multiple developments and calendars at once and to quickly adjust priorities

High attention to detail

Ability to travel, both domestically and internationally

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, & Adobe Illustrator

Demonstrates initiative, is conscientious and provides complete follow-through on areas of responsibility

Project Management skills a plus

Experience with stainless steel bottle, soft goods, and/or development

Highly flexible and able to react quickly to changing project requirements
