Responsible for designing seasonal menswear & SMU products within (but not limited to) the following categories: polos, wovens, bottoms, jackets, sweaters, T-shirts, hats/accessories.
Roles And Responsibilities
Assist in design for seasonal & SMU menswear product within accessories category
Ownership of creating and maintaining tech packs, mill sheets, artwork pages, trim pages, merch boards, and more for assigned designs & categories.
Collaborating with & assisting designers: creating/updating tech packs, mill sheets, artwork pages, trim pages, merch boards, and more for categories outside accessories.
Occasional SMU designs for: Sales, Marketing, Exec, Design
Organize and maintain fabric, trim, and material libraries for the category.
Research, interpret, and apply market trends (competitors and non-competitors) appropriate to the brand
To be flexible and adaptable in designing the best product for the brand & customer.
Problem solving any issues on designs/categories
Basic understanding of Office and Adobe Illustrator CAD-work a must.
Perform other duties as assigned
Technical Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
Proficient in Microsoft Applications (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to generate creative solutions to business challenges
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skillsAbility to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment
Strong organizational and time management abilities
Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with accessory materials (leather, webbing, hardware, etc.).
Interest or exposure to footwear or product merchandising.
Basic knowledge of product development timelines, sample processes, and sourcing communication.
Comfortable working with Excel or Google Sheets for line planning and tracking.
Education And Experience
Bachelor’s Degree, preferred
Minimum 3 years’ experience in apparel design
Physical Requirements / Work Environment (if Applicable)
Work is performed in a designated professional office workstation and environment.
Extensive use of office equipment to include computer, calculator, copier, fax, and other business-related machines and software.
