Job Responsibilities

Investigate and analyze claim information related to claimants' medical conditions, work earnings, and policy provisions to determine eligibility for disability benefits

Communicate disability approval decisions and issue correct benefits to claimants

Identify and resolve discrepancies and outstanding issues by securing additional documentation as needed

Act as a liaison with underwriting, reinsurance carriers, sales, and private investigators

Recognize and respond to situations involving potentially fraudulent activity and/or litigation

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum of 3-5 years of disability claims processing experience, with at least 2 years of IDI-specific claims experience

Ability to interpret contract language, medical records, financial records, and legal correspondence

Proven experience in identifying critical objectives and prioritizing tasks effectively

Strong leadership abilities and customer‑focused mindset

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with claims evaluation materials and processes

Familiarity with fraud detection and litigation response strategies

Previous experience in a customer service‑oriented role within the insurance industry

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Ability to work independently and drive projects forward
