June 1 - July 2, Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM (Camp hours 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM) No camp on Juneteenth and July 3.
Duration:
Must be available for the full 5-week summer camp program
Position Summary Passion Dance Center is seeking an experienced and motivated Summer Camp Director to oversee the daily operations of our summer camp program. The Director ensures a safe, enriching, organized, and fun experience for all campers while leading staff and maintaining strong communication with families and the Camp Manager.
Summer camp experience is a plus. Dance knowledge is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Camp Manager to plan and execute a diverse range of camp activities
Ensure camp runs on schedule and operates efficiently
Supervise camp staff to maintain high performance and positive morale
Oversee camper safety and enforce all safety protocols
Track attendance, breakfast, and lunch in accordance with guidelines
Ensure staff and service providers sign in/out and complete required paperwork
Serve as a point of contact for parents and communicate updates to the Camp Manager
Report incidents promptly and maintain consistent communication with leadership
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in camp management or leadership in an educational setting
Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills with children and adults
First Aid and CPR certification (may be obtained prior to start date)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in curriculum development for youth programs
Familiarity with child protection regulations
Background in dance or performing arts
Working Conditions
Combination of indoor and outdoor work
Physically active role (walking, standing, active supervision)
Must be available for the entire camp season
