
Event Marketing Specialist

We are seeking a
Specialist, Client Programs & Events
to support the planning, coordination, and execution of high-quality, client-facing events that align with business development and marketing objectives. This role will manage events such as CLE programs, seminars, webinars, client receptions, dinners, and other engagement-focused initiatives.
The Specialist works closely with business development teams, practice groups, senior stakeholders, and a global events team to ensure the seamless delivery of events of all sizes, while maintaining exceptional standards of professionalism, branding, and client service.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and execute client-facing events, including CLE programs, seminars, webinars, receptions, dinners, and other interactive engagement events
Ensure all events are executed to the highest standard and align with brand and client service expectations
Collaborate closely with Business Development teams, practice groups, and senior stakeholders to align event strategies with practice-specific and firmwide goals
Partner with Business Development teams to identify target audiences and support initiatives that maximize event ROI
Ensure compliance with MCLE accreditation standards across applicable jurisdictions
Build and maintain accurate invitation and attendee lists within the CRM system, ensuring data integrity
Track event activity, analyze results, and provide post-event reporting and recommendations
Research, evaluate, and maintain relationships with venues, restaurants, and event vendors
Coordinate all logistics, including catering, audio-visual needs, virtual platforms, and on-site event support
Review and negotiate contracts with vendors and venues
Develop detailed event budgets and cost estimates; monitor and manage expenses throughout the event lifecycle
Present event concepts and recommendations to stakeholders, including enhancements to elevate client experience
Stay informed of industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging event technologies
Contribute ideas for process improvements and best practices within the events function
Maintain composure and strong problem-solving skills when unexpected challenges arise
Support additional business development and marketing initiatives as needed
Qualifications
Minimum of
5 years of related experience
in a professional services environment
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint; ability to learn new systems quickly
Familiarity with CRM systems and database management
Exceptional attention to detail and proofreading skills
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities
Solution-oriented with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Flexibility to travel and adjust working hours to support event needs
