This role is within Chamberlain Group's Marketing function. The Technical Communications Sr. Specialist is responsible for creating and maintaining world-class product documentation, manuals, guides, and service documentation. A successful incumbent is expected to (i) Write and revise owner’s manuals, instruction sheets, quick‑start guides, and labels according to company/department standards and (ii) Work closely with product managers, document control, and NPD Teams to implement new and revised technical publications in a timely manner. Education requirements include: Associate’s degree (A.A.) from a two‑year college or university in arts or related field; Experience requirements include: 3+ years work experience with Macintosh and PC platforms.

Job Responsibilities:

Responsible for writing and editing content for technical publications

Develop and create owner’s manuals, instruction sheets, quick‑start guides, and labels according to company/department standards

Work closely with product managers, document control, and NPD Teams to implement new and revised technical publications in a timely manner

Ensure consistency in style, tone, formatting, and structural standards across product documentation

Actively participates in keeping department on schedule and meeting objectives

Review BOMs for products

Coordinate and work with vendors to create print and digital layouts

Coordinate and work with localization software and vendors to create multi‑lingual documentation

Maintain essential correspondence related to project/product development

Comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams

Protect Chamberlain Group’s reputation by keeping information confidential

Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reading professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies

Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed

Job Requirements:

Associate’s degree (A.A.) from a two‑year college or university

3+ years work experience with Macintosh and PC platforms

3+ years work experience in technical writing

Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills

Working knowledge of Flash and Dreamweaver, HTML & CSS

Knowledge of principles and practices of graphic design

Translate complex technical specs and procedures into clear, audience‑appropriate language

Stay current on best practices in technical communication and documentation

Preferred: Experience with localization projects and software

Onsite - Tucson, AZ

The pay range for this position is $56,800.00 - $91,675.00; base pay offered may vary depending on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. In addition to base pay, also offered is a comprehensive benefits package and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). This position is eligible for participation in a short‑term incentive plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies.
