We are seeking a Senior Oracle Database Administrator with deep skills in Oracle RAC, clustering, performance tuning, and legacy database environments. This role will support mission-critical systems running on AIX or Solaris, ensuring high availability, scalability, and optimal database performance across complex enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
Administer, configure, and support Oracle Database environments (11g, 12c, 19c or similar).
Manage and maintain Oracle RAC and Grid Infrastructure in clustered, multi-node environments.
Perform advanced database performance tuning (SQL tuning, execution plans, AWR/ASH reports, wait event analysis, indexing strategies).
Design and maintain high availability and disaster recovery solutions (Data Guard, RMAN, backup/recovery strategies).
Support and maintain legacy Oracle environments, including patching and upgrades.
Troubleshoot RAC, cluster interconnect, storage, and OS-level performance issues.
Perform database installations, migrations, cloning, and environment refreshes.
Implement and maintain database security, user management, and auditing.
Support production systems with on‑call responsibilities and root cause analysis.
Develop automation scripts (Shell/Bash/Korn) to streamline DBA operations.
Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and system teams to optimize database architecture.
Required Qualifications
10+ years of hands‑on Oracle DBA experience in enterprise environments.
Strong experience with Oracle RAC, ASM, and Grid Infrastructure.
Advanced performance tuning and troubleshooting skills.
Proven experience managing Oracle on AIX or Solaris platforms.
Strong knowledge of backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and Unix shell scripting.
Experience with patching, upgrades, and database migrations.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Oracle Data Guard and GoldenGate.
Familiarity with storage systems and SAN environments.
Experience with Exadata or engineered systems.
Exposure to cloud‑based Oracle deployments (OCI, AWS, or Azure).
