Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Database Administrator (DBA)
to support enterprise database systems in a hybrid consulting environment. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with
Oracle Database administration , performance tuning, backup and recovery, and collaboration with development teams.
This role requires deep technical expertise in Oracle database environments along with strong communication skills and experience working within structured operational models.
Key Responsibilities Perform day-to-day
Oracle Database administration
activities (11g, 12c) Manage database installations, configurations, upgrades, and maintenance Monitor database performance and conduct
performance tuning and optimization Plan and support
database capacity planning, scaling, and growth Design databases, create indexes, and support data modeling activities Configure and manage:
Oracle Data Guard Oracle Enterprise Manager Oracle Automatic Storage Management (ASM) Oracle ACFS Oracle GoldenGate Oracle RAC
Perform
RMAN backup and recovery
operations Support database security, availability, and disaster recovery initiatives Collaborate closely with
development teams
across the SDLC Support managed services, ITSM, DevOps, and SOA operational models Provide documentation and follow best practices for database administration Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders Required Skills & Experience Bachelor's degree in a technical or business-related field 7+ years
of experience in a development or service administration role 5+ years
of hands-on Oracle Database Administration experience Strong understanding of:
Oracle database architecture and physical structure Database performance analysis and tuning Database design, indexing, and optimization
Proven experience with:
RMAN backup and recovery Oracle GoldenGate Oracle RAC Oracle installations and upgrades
Experience working closely with application development teams Exposure to
ITIL / ITSM / Managed Services / DevOps / SOA
operational models Excellent written and verbal communication skills
