Job Summary A Outside Sales Representative is responsible for promoting and selling company’s NHD reports to real estate agents, buyers, and sellers with the ordering, processing, and explanation of Natural Hazard Disclosure reports during real estate transactions. This role ensures compliance with California disclosure laws and provides exceptional service to agents and clients throughout the escrow process.
Key Responsibilities
Process NHD Report Orders: Submit, track, and verify NHD orders for residential and commercial transactions.
Review Reports for Accuracy: Confirm property details, hazard zones, environmental risks, and statutory disclosures are properly documented.
Explain Findings: Communicate report highlights to agents, buyers, and sellers in clear, easy-to-understand language.
Ensure Compliance: Confirm all required state and local disclosures are included according to California Natural Hazard Disclosure requirements.
Coordinate with Escrow & Agents: Provide timely updates, deliver reports within contract deadlines, and assist with any revisions needed.
Customer Support: Answer questions via phone, email, and text regarding hazards, fees, turnaround times, and property-specific findings.
Maintain Records: Organize orders, receipts, and transaction notes for file audits and brokerage compliance.
Promote Company Services: Offer product knowledge, pricing, and benefits of the NHD provider’s services to agents and clients.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret environmental and hazard data
Excellent communication and customer-service skills
Basic understanding of California real estate transactions (RPA, escrow timelines, disclosures)
Ability to work in a fast-moving, deadline-driven environment
Comfortable using CRM systems, online order portals, and digital document tools
High level of professionalism and reliability
Prior experience in real estate, escrow, or disclosure services (preferred but not required)
Typical Work Environment
Fast-paced transaction-based workflow
Communicating daily with real estate agents, escrow officers, and transaction coordinators
Hybrid or remote-friendly depending on company
Occasional in-person agent presentations or office visits
