Job Summary Assist the Head Golf Professional with daily golf operations, including tee sheet management, tournaments, outings, and member/guest services Provide high-quality instruction through private lessons, clinics, and junior golf programs Oversee golf shop operations, including merchandising, inventory control, and point-of-sale transactions Ensure exceptional guest service standards consistent with a historic, full-service resort environment Coordinate closely with hotel, spa, and food & beverage teams to support group events, weddings, and corporate outings Support tournament planning and execution, including scoring, rules enforcement, and pace-of-play management Maintain knowledge of course conditions and communicate updates with grounds staff and resort leadership Promote golf programming and resort amenities to enhance overall guest experience and drive revenue Uphold PGA standards of professionalism while reflecting the character and tradition of a historic resort property Assist in staff training and supervision of outside services, starters, and golf shop team members Assist in inventory control to include ordering and receiving. Maintain an attractive clean and orderly retail appearance in golf shop. Final compensation package offer is subject to change based on a variety of complex factors unique to each candidate including experience, education, skill set, and applicable certifications. Key Skills & Experience Required Fundamental knowledge of PGA rules and the game of golf Registered PGA apprentice, Level 1 PGA/PGM a plus Successful completion of satisfactory background check Demonstrates natural leadership qualities with a positive, team-focused attitude Available and willing to work flexible hours based on business needs including weekdays and weekends. Demonstrates strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Expresses sincere enthusiasm for the role and passion for golf Must know how to prioritize, delegate, and respond in a timely fashion. Able to work under pressure, multi-task, and stay focused while maintaining hospitality. Essential Functions of the Job Ability to remain standing for up to 8 hours Ability to walk the property and grounds frequently Ability to move up and down stairs frequently Ability to move quickly based on guest needs Ability to regularly move and lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to bend, stretch, and reach frequently, including above head, and repetitively during a shift Ability to visibly survey property areas clearly Ability to communicate and exchange information effectively, often in a public/group setting Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English Ability to complete a satisfactory background check Ability to perform assigned tasks, operate equipment, and complete job duties in a safe manner Ability to work weekdays and weekends based on course needs.
