Job Summary
Located along Lake Tahoe in the Sierra Nevada, Harrah’s and Caesars Republic Lake Tahoe properties are the premier employer of choice. The Beverage Director will direct the overall operations of Casino Beverage, Nightlife, Summer Concert Series, Pools, and Activations.

Key Job Functions
Assist the VP of Food and Beverage in establishing Beverage strategy and positioning. Think strategically and operationally about factors such as beverage concepts, pricing, quality, marketing, price/value perceptions, customer satisfaction, employee training and development as they relate to the overall Beverage products.
Direct the development and administration of controls for all phases of the department in an economical and profitable manner, while maintaining established standards.
Assist with financial and business operating plans and capital expenditure plans that are consistent with the overall strategic positioning of the property.
Anticipate and react to changes in planning assumptions and alter plans as necessary.
Formally present updates to plans and provide appropriate explanations and solutions to variances.
Actively build and retain customer relations and act as a mentor to team members to provide superior customer service.
Hire, train, motivate, evaluate, and supervise assigned personnel; coach for success and continuing improvement of team member skills.
Recommend changes including hiring, promotion, demotion and release of personnel.
Implement new concepts/trends with shared vision by the VP of Food and Beverage.
Stay abreast of industry trends, consumer preferences and expectations and competing beverage offerings.
Ensure the beverage service at Caesars Entertainment is distinguishable from competitors in the area.
Manage long‑term finances, including budget preparation, capital expenditures and analysis of financial performance.
Manage safety and sanitary conditions of all assigned areas to preclude liability and ensure integrity of necessary liquor licensing and health permits.
Education & Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent; College Degree preferred.
Minimum of five years Food & Beverage experience.
Two years supervisory experience.
Qualifications
Fluent and literate in English.
Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Good interpersonal skills, with emphasis in relationship building.
Good customer service skills, both internal and external.
Ability to negotiate with diverse departments.
Ability to implement strategic visions/plans into day‑to‑day operations.
Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business.
Acts as a role model to other Team Members and always presents oneself as a credit to Caesars Entertainment and encourages others to do the same.
Adheres to all regulatory, company and department policies and procedures.
Physical, Mental & Environmental Demands
Mobility to move quickly around the property.
Visual and auditory range must include immediate environment.
Manual dexterity to operate office equipment.
Ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
Contact with the public requires the ability to work in a noisy environment and may be exposed to guests who use tobacco products. Non‑public positions may also require occasional entry into public areas.
