Expected Salary Range Expected salary range of $185,400 to $206,000, varies based on experience, along with comprehensive benefits package that includes bonus and 401(k).

Primary Purpose of Position The Director is responsible for managing in a leadership capacity the environmental activities aspects with technical, regulatory, and programmatic activities of the environmental functional area of Constellation Projects & Services (CP&S). Assures that the highest level of planning and execution of projects addresses the consideration of all applicable environmental rules and regulations. The Director is responsible for providing overall leadership, technical and regulatory support and expertise for development, permitting, construction, commissioning, operational integration, mergers, acquisition, and divesture projects.

Primary Duties and Accountabilities

Manage environmental support for new build or large capital projects including planning and execution of origination due diligence, initial permitting, construction, commissioning, and integration.

Develop permitting and agency consultation strategies to help ensure project uncertainty and risks are understood, communicated, and mitigated utilizing excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including written and verbal.

Coordinate with project team to ensure environmental due diligence, siting, and permitting, commissioning, and integration actions and schedule are integrated into the overall project schedule. Manage multiple issues/priorities with conflicting priorities

Coordinate the engagement, selection, and management of Environmental Contractors to support project activities. Monitor and manage contractor spend and other information (contract number, spend to date, forecasted spend, description of services, schedule, accruals, etc.) and provide update to project management and financial controls, as necessary, applying strong analytical skills.

Drive development of applications, lead negotiations, and support implementation permits and approvals.

Track and communicate status of environmental actions and risks to internal stakeholders to effectively accomplish project goals within budget, quality, and time standards.

Participate in Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC), Owners Engineer (OE), and various counterparty contract preparation and negotiation to ensure environmental aspects are addressed and risks are mitigated.

Manage environmental aspects of due diligence efforts including site visits, contractor support, preparation of due diligence document and reports, preparing environmental schedules, commenting on purchase sale agreements, and overall support to the due diligence process for mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.

Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of procedures, processes and other tools for environmental areas related to mergers, acquisitions, and divestures (due diligence), and construction management.

Perform all other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in environmental science, physical or natural sciences, or engineering with 12 years related experience OR

Associate's degree in environmental science, physical or natural sciences, or engineering and 14 years of related experience

In-depth knowledge of environmental regulatory requirements for power plants

Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects through strong project management and planning skills

Strong financial analysis skills combined with effective written and verbal communication skills

Strong computer skills, including knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products

Maintain minimum access requirement or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties

Computer-based analytical skills, strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications

Ability for overnight travel

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in environmental, engineering, or related field

Project Management Experience, Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus

Experience with State, County and Local Development and Site Plan approval

Experienced with Rare, Threatened and Endangered Species Habitat consultation and mitigation

Knowledge of Wetland and Waterbody delineation and experience with United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA), Army Corps of Engineers (ACOE) and State permitting and mitigation

Experience with Air Quality Permitting

Experience with Historical and Cultural Assessment

Experience with Nation Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Construction and Operations permitting

In‑depth experience with interpreting regulations and permits, and developing/implementing compliance programs

Experience or knowledge of power plant operations
