Mechanical Designer - HVAC
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer specializing in HVAC systems to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing innovative HVAC solutions for various commercial and civic projects. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and experience with design software such as Revit.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop HVAC systems for commercial and civic buildings
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure design feasibility
Utilize Revit and other design software to create detailed mechanical drawings
Conduct system calculations to ensure efficiency and compliance with relevant standards
Attend project meetings and present design concepts to clients and stakeholders
Review and approve shop drawings and submittals from contractorsProvide technical support during installation and commissioning of HVAC systems
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in HVAC technologies
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fieldProven experience as a Mechanical Designer with a focus on HVAC systemsProficiency in Revit and other design softwareStrong understanding of HVAC design principles and building codesExcellent communication and teamwork skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and meet deadlinesExperience in commercial and civic project design is a plus
