Job Summary
The Strategy & Operations Intern will support the launch and early‑stage growth of Blue Door Academy, an emerging initiative within Boys & Girls Clubs of America. This role is ideal for a motivated self‑starter who wants hands‑on experience in program development, communications, operations, and nonprofit strategy. The intern will support a variety of cross‑functional projects aligned with Blue Door Academy’s launch and growth priorities, adapting to emerging needs across operations, program, and talent development.
Internship Timeline Must be available from June 2 - August 5, 2026
Location Office‑based in Atlanta, GA (hybrid model – 3 days remote / 2 days in office – Tuesday & Wednesday)
Compensation 17.00/hr
Objectives
Support foundational systems and processes for pilot organizations
Assist in organizing documentation, tools, and implementation resources
Help streamline internal workflows and external‑facing materials
Produce tangible deliverables that support fall launch readiness

Responsibilities Strategic & Operational Support
Support cross‑functional projects related to systems, workflows, and implementation planning
Assist in documenting processes and identifying opportunities for operational improvement
Help organize internal tools, resources, and shared documentation
Conduct research and summarize findings to inform decision‑making
Assist with basic data tracking, reporting, and dashboard updates
Program Development & Implementation Support
Assist in the development of program materials, guides, and implementation resources
Support pilot organization coordination and feedback tracking
Help draft FAQs, toolkits, onboarding materials, and support documents
Organize and synthesize feedback from stakeholders
Contribute to launch‑readiness efforts for new program sites
Talent & Organizational Development Support
Support development of training materials and internal learning resources
Assist with documentation of roles, responsibilities, and onboarding processes
Help organize talent development resources and communications
Contribute to internal engagement initiatives or culture‑building efforts
Assist with scheduling coordination and preparation for trainings or meetings
Qualifications What We’re Looking For
Self‑starter comfortable working in evolving environments
Strong organizational skills
Clear written and verbal communication
Ability to synthesize information and identify patterns
Detail‑oriented with follow‑through
Professional maturity and discretion
Comfortable navigating ambiguity
Comfortable shifting between strategic thinking and hands‑on task execution
Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in related field
Availability to work onsite in the Midtown Atlanta office
Ability to work through Summer 2026
Core Skills
Strong writing and editing skills
Ability to organize complex information clearly
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Basic data organization and tracking skills (Excel/Smartsheet)
Research and summarization ability
