As a Social Content Creator Intern, you’ll help showcase the heart of our Clubs, events, and youth, capturing the energy and impact of our mission across multiple platforms. This is more than an internship—it’s a chance to build your creative portfolio, gain hands‑on marketing experience, and make a real difference in the lives of young people across Northeast Florida. About the Role As a Social Content Creator Intern, you’ll work alongside the VP of Marketing and the Operations & Engagement team to concept, create, and publish engaging content across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn. Whether you’re filming Club activities, producing reels for major events, or crafting eye‑catching graphics in Canva, you’ll play a key role in how we communicate our mission to the community. You’ll also gain exposure to nonprofit marketing strategy, assist with creative campaign support, and help coordinate communications for special events and fundraising initiatives. What You’ll Do Capture and edit high‑quality video/photo content for BGCNF social media platforms Contribute to monthly content planning, storytelling themes, and creative direction Film and edit short‑form content (Reels, TikToks, interviews, behind‑the‑scenes moments) Attend and capture content at select Club events and youth programs Support coverage of major fundraising events and community activations Design simple social graphics, flyers, and recaps using Canva Monitor social media trends relevant to youth, nonprofits, and education Assist with scheduling, posting, and performance tracking of content Help manage social inboxes and support audience engagement What You Bring Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a college/university program (Communications, Marketing, Digital Media, or related field) Portfolio or work samples that showcase your creative and storytelling abilities Experience shooting and editing content for social media platforms Familiarity with Canva and/or mobile editing tools (e.g., CapCut, InShot, Lightroom) Strong understanding of social media trends, youth culture, and platform voice Passion for youth empowerment, storytelling, and community‑focused work Preferred (but not required) Previous experience with nonprofits, youth organizations, or campus media Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, mission‑driven environment Availability for occasional evening or weekend events What You’ll Gain Real‑world experience in content creation and nonprofit marketing Opportunities to contribute to major campaigns and events A strong portfolio of video, photo, and graphic content Mentorship and support from an experienced marketing team The opportunity to make a meaningful impact in your community This position requires a Level 2 background screening through the Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse as mandated by Florida Statute 435.12.
