Join ProAmpac's manufacturing team as a
Continuous Improvement Intern
and help drive real cost savings and process efficiency improvements tied directly to our site’s 2026 operational goals. This role offers hands‑on experience in process improvement, data analysis, and project execution. Working closely with engineering, operations, and cross‑functional teams, the intern will help analyze processes, identify improvement opportunities, track project progress, and communicate results. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated, detail‑oriented student who wants practical experience applying data analysis, problem‑solving tools, and project management skills in a manufacturing environment.
What You’ll Do
Support cost savings and efficiency projects, including scrap reduction, throughput improvement, and new process development
Identify and help lead quick‑win improvement opportunities (e.g., 5S initiatives, supplier cost savings)
Assist with project management by tracking action items, timelines, and deliverables
Conduct root cause analysis using tools such as 5 Whys, fishbone diagrams, and time studies
Analyze data and prepare reports to track and communicate project progress and effectiveness
Collaborate with a wide range of personnel across manufacturing and engineering teams
What We’re Looking For
Organized, self‑motivated, and able to manage multiple tasks
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Comfortable working cross‑functionally in a manufacturing environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Interest or experience in process improvement, problem solving, and data analysis
Preferred Qualifications
Pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field
Other engineering disciplines with a strong interest in continuous improvement and data‑driven problem solving are encouraged to apply
Exposure (academic or practical) to continuous improvement or data analysis tools is a plus
Compensation & Benefits The hourly pay range for this position is
$20 – $25 per hour . Actual compensation will be based on education, skills, and experience. Benefits may include basic life insurance and access to company‑sponsored learning and development opportunities.
