A brief summary
The Head of Business Development is responsible for originating, securing and converting new revenue for Gravity Media USA. This is a proactive, externally focused commercial leadership role. The successful candidate will drive pipeline creation, lead commercial pursuits, and secure measurable revenue growth across RF, Specialty Cameras, Production FlyPack and Production / Managed Services. The Managing Director sets strategic direction. This role is accountable for executing that strategy through disciplined, measurable commercial action. What you’ll be responsible for
Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities across Sports, Entertainment, Corporate and emerging verticals. Build, maintain and convert a structured, probability-weighted sales pipeline. Secure new contracted revenue aligned to annual growth targets. Assist in the Development and negotiation of managed service agreements and longer‑term commercial partnerships. Lead commercial negotiations, pricing strategy and proposal development. Protect and improve direct margin through disciplined pricing. Position the company early for major event cycles and contract renewals. Represent the business at senior level with broadcasters and production companies. Provide accurate monthly reporting on pipeline, secured revenue and forecast performance. Collaborate closely with Operations, Engineering and Finance to ensure commercial commitments are deliverable and profitable. Authority & Decision-Making
The Head of Business Development has authority to: Initiate and lead commercial conversations with prospective clients. Develop pricing proposals within agreed margin parameters. Negotiate commercial terms within delegated authority thresholds. Recommend strategic pursuits and resource prioritization. Propose partnership structures and long‑term service agreements. Final strategic direction, capital allocation and material contractual commitments remain with the Managing Director. Experience & Skills
5+ years of business development or commercial experience within broadcast, live production, sports media or related industries. Demonstrable track record of originating and securing new revenue. Financial literacy with clear understanding of cost structures and margin. Experience leading complex bids and RFP responses. Confident operating at senior executive level with major broadcasters and production partners. Structured, self‑starting and comfortable with measurable performance accountability. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Working Pattern & Travel
Tennessee‑based, with some flexibility for remote engagement where appropriate. Regular travel required for client meetings, industry events, major sporting events and strategic pursuits. Flexibility required to support key negotiations and event cycles. Competitive base salary commensurate with experience.
