Custom Millwork Sales
Vast Ventures, Preston, MN, United States
This isn’t a role for someone looking to push commodity product. We build one‑of‑a‑kind millwork for the Twin Cities’ most discerning homeowners, architects, and luxury builders—and we’re looking for the sales professional who has spent years earning a seat at that table.
If your name is already known in the high‑end residential market—if architects call you first, if builders trust your word, if your clients’ homes have been featured in Mpls.St.Paul Magazine or Architecture Minnesota—we want to talk. This is a rare opportunity to represent a craftsman‑quality millwork operation with the production capability and design depth to execute projects most shops turn away.
Key Responsibilities
You’ll own the full sales cycle for a book of high‑end residential accounts across the Twin Cities metro, withroom to expand into commercial and developer relationships. Day‑to‑day, that means:
Cultivating deep, trust‑based relationships with luxury custom builders, high‑end remodelers, architects, and interior designers
Qualifying and converting new opportunities from a warm network and targeted outreach
Reading and interpreting architectural drawings and specifications to develop accurate, competitive quotes
Conducting site visits, design consultations, and client presentations
Serving as the connective tissue between the client’s vision and our production team—managing timelines, expectations, and change orders
Owning the project lifecycle from award through installation sign‑off
Maintaining disciplined pipeline reporting and forecasting
Qualifications The right candidate is already performing at a high level. You likely have:
5+ years of outside sales experience in millwork, cabinetry, architectural woodwork, or a premium building materials category
An established book of relationships with luxury builders, architects, and/or designers in theMinneapolis–St. Paul market
Fluency in reading construction documents, blueprints, and architectural specifications
A consultative, relationship‑first sales approach—you solve problems, not just take orders
Polished communication skills and the confidence to present in front of design‑build teams and homeowners alike
Self‑direction and accountability—you run your territory like your own business
WHY THIS ROLE We’re selective about the projects we take on, which means you’re selling something worth selling. Our production team does work that’s genuinely exceptional—custom millwork with the precision, finish quality, and design flexibility that high‑end clients demand. You won’t be fighting on price. You’ll be winning on reputation, relationship, and capability.
Competitive base salary + uncapped commission
autonomy to run your market the way you know best.
A production team that takes pride in execution—and backs you up.
