Role Description Media & Public Communications
Assists with responding to media inquiries by gathering background information and preparing draft materials under guidance from the Communications team.
Supports the drafting of press releases, media updates, and announcements related to company news, milestones, and community activities.
Help prepare basic talking points and supports interview scheduling and coordination.
Assists with outreach efforts that help maintain positive relationships with community partners and professional organizations.
Helps prepare, edit, and format internal and external communications, including newsletters, announcements, and event-related materials.
Digital & Brand Support
Assists with updating and maintaining digital content across company websites and social media platforms to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Supports content alignment with ALC’s brand voice, tone, and messaging guidelines.
Help manage the corporate content calendar by tracking deadlines, approvals, and scheduled releases.
Assists with organizing digital assets and maintaining content records for internal use.
Supports public relations planning by assisting with research, content preparation, and coordination tasks.
Works closely with the Marketing team to help review communications materials and ensure alignment between advertising and public relations efforts.
Assists with internal communication coordination and cross-team collaboration on announcements and updates.
Provides support for key events by assisting with preparation, coordination, and post-event communications.
Qualifications / Skills
Currently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s or master's degree in public relations, journalism, communications, marketing, or a related field.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write clearly and professionally.
High attention to detail and ability to follow established guidelines and review processes.
Creative thinking with an interest in storytelling, content development, and communications strategy.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a collaborative environment.
Previous internships or relevant coursework experience is a plus, but not required.
