Partner with assigned customers to ensure they have the right products at the right time in the right placement. Responsibilities

Order products that align with the needs of the customer. Responsible for effectively displaying store products. Maintain effective business relationships with customers. Arrive promptly at customer locations on assigned routes for service. Rotate stock and remove out-of-code products. Process merchandise returns and issue credits according to company policy. Ensure the neat and orderly appearance of UNFI products. Notify customers about product and/or delivery updates. Assist in hanging shelf tags and promotional POS/POP materials and resets. Sell promotional and sales programs as assigned. Perform duties in accordance with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) policies and procedures, as appropriate for the location. Follow through on customer product requests. Keep management informed of area activities and any significant concerns. Attend meetings as required. Provide backup for other field sales representatives when needed. Performs other duties as assigned. Performs other relevant job duties as required. Qualifications

Education/Certifications: Valid driver's license necessary. Auto insurance levels that meet UNFI requirements. Experience: Prior customer service experience in a retail setting. System implementation preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Excellent customer service skills. Good communication skills. Time management and attention to detail. Basic math abilities. Ability to work independently. Good judgment when direct supervision may not be immediately available. Physical Environment/Demands

Daily travel is required and access to a vehicle is necessary. Ability to get in and out of the car multiple times per day. Drive to and from accounts safely in city, rural, and expressway conditions. Ability to set up displays, fixtures, shelving, and products. Possible exposure to store and warehouse conditions including wide variances in temperature, dust, and dirt. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. UNFI anticipates paying the above-referenced pay rate (or within the above-referenced pay range) for this position. Actual pay will depend on factors such as education, experience, training, and any requirements under applicable collective bargaining agreements.
