Role Description Interim HealthCare of Birmingham is seeking an experienced Home Health Account Executive to join our growing team. This position is ideal for a high-performing sales professional with an existing network of referral sources and proven success driving growth in the home care or home health sector.
The Account Executive will be responsible for expanding relationships with hospitals, case managers, skilled nursing facilities, physicians, and other referral partners to increase patient referrals for skilled nursing, personal care, and staffing services across Jefferson, Shelby, Blount, and St. Clair counties.
This is a full-time, on-site Account Executive role based in Birmingham, AL or Tuscaloosa, AL area.
Key Responsibilities Referral Source Development
Leverage existing relationships and establish new connections with hospitals, rehabilitation centers, ALFs, SNFs, and physician practices.
Conduct regular visits, presentations, and lunch-and-learns to promote Interim’s services.
Maintain strong communication with discharge planners, case managers, and social workers to ensure timely patient referrals.
Market Growth
Develop and execute territory-specific growth strategies to meet monthly referral and admission goals.
Track and analyze referral trends, competitor activity, and market opportunities.
Represent Interim HealthCare at community events, healthcare associations, and networking groups to expand visibility and credibility.
Partner with clinical and operational leaders to ensure excellent customer service and follow-through on referrals.
Provide timely feedback on referral partner needs and service performance.
Participate in weekly business development meetings and contribute to market planning.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of proven outside sales experience, healthcare sale experience preffered.
Network: Established relationships and referral sources in the Birmingham-area healthcare community strongly preferred.
Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent healthcare sales experience accepted.
Skills:
Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Results-oriented, self-starter with ability to work independently.
Excellent organization and follow-up skills.
Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., AxisCare, Hubspot).
Licenses: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
