
Plumbing Designer

Responsibilities
Design plumbing systems for commercial and high-rise building projects
Develop construction documents using
Revit
and AutoCAD
Perform system sizing and layout for domestic water, sanitary, storm, and gas systems
Coordinate plumbing systems with mechanical, electrical, architectural, and structural teams
Prepare specifications and engineering documentation
Review shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals during construction
Support project teams through construction administration and field coordination
Ensure designs comply with building codes and industry standards
Plumbing engineering services in these types of projects commonly include storm and sanitary systems, gas distribution, grease waste systems, and other building plumbing infrastructure.
Required Qualifications
3–10+ years of plumbing design experience in the
MEP consulting industry
Experience with commercial building plumbing system design
Knowledge of plumbing codes and building regulations
Ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary design teams
Strong communication and documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
EIT or PE license (or working toward licensure)
Experience with large commercial, hospitality, mixed-use, or high-rise projects
Familiarity with construction administration and field coordination
