Overview The Social Media Intern will be responsible for deploying, analyzing, and recapping social media strategies for SCHEELS pertaining to all categories of business and product trends/launches which will drive engagement with our audiences. The Social Media Intern should quickly understand and support initiatives that will contribute to sales (in-store and online), successful campaigns and online presence, and the analytics to recap content published. This position will work with a wide variety of people within the SCHEELS Corporation, primarily with the Digital, Marketing and E-commerce teams.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement social media strategies on behalf of the brand across all categories.
Passion for sports and athletics, clothing and footwear, and/or hunting/fishing with an interest in staying on-top of industry trends, current events and industry news.
Assist in building social media advertising campaigns on behalf of SCHEELS, monitoring performance and recommending adjustments.
Ensure social media channels are growing in followers and engagement.
Research, create, schedule, deploy, and recap all content across channels.
Respond to daily posts, comments, direct messages, etc. on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and additional channels.
Collaborate with others to create and execute social media promotions, contests, campaigns, and content management.
Understand and report on analytic data related to social media, both predictive and recapping.
Collaborate with the team on the execution of SCHEELS Expert content and distribution across all marketing channels.
Knowledge of social media platforms and digital marketing best practices.
Excellent analytical, data analysis, creative and innovative abilities.
Ability to be organized, multi-task, and maintain all aspects of social media.

Education & Experience Ideal candidate would be pursuing a degree in marketing, communications, social media, or related field.
