Marketing Communications Internship

The Marketing Communications Department at Midlands Technical College (MTC) is accepting intern applications. This is a great opportunity for a junior or senior student to gain experience by joining a team of professionals that produce a variety of external and internal communication projects, advertising campaigns, and special events deliverables. The ideal intern is majoring in programs such as public relations, marketing, mass communications, journalism, or visual communications.

MTC is a public, multi-campus, two-year public college serving Richland, Lexington, and Fairfield counties of South Carolina offering a variety of associate degrees, diplomas, and certificates.

OPPORTUNITIES

Shadow fellow team members in a diverse array of marketing positions and functions

Support and development of creative concepts and content on all marketing and communication channels

Photography and videography of special events, campus life, students, faculty, and staff

Copy writing and editing for social media, emails, websites, media releases, and printed pieces

Attendance of community events in Richland, Lexington, and Fairfield counties

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in Hootsuite, Adobe Creative Suite, and MailChimp

Understanding of AP Style

Skilled in photography and videography

Enrolled in a for-credit internship course at accredited college or university
