Summer Internship - Strategic Planning and Marketing Communications (Candidates must be in the Chicago, IL area) Who are we? The Summer Internship Development Program at Versant Health is designed to help you explore your career, learn our business, and develop as a young professional. Throughout the course of this 8 week summer internship opportunity, you will engage in professional and career development workshops, attend fireside chat series with Versant Health’s senior leaders and complete a capstone project. Assist in marketing and internal communication activities (e.g., social media, web, and intranet) Provide event planning support for brand activation/sponsorship events – inclusive of pre-event and on-site support Draft content for internal and external communication channels Assist with production support of quarterly Town Hall Assist in the creation of marketing assets including social media templates, creative briefs, and email campaigns Perform market analysis and research on competition Support the marketing and communications team in daily administrative tasks Preferred Fields of Study – Undergraduate Marketing Communications What’s necessary to do the job? Preferred GPA of 3.0 or above Must have availability to work 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, between the dates of June 2 - August 1, 2025 Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship Strong desire to learn along with professional drive Solid understanding of different marketing techniques Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent knowledge of MS Office Basic knowledge of design software/programs such as Canva Familiarity with marketing computer software and online applications Passion for the marketing industry and its best practices Current enrollment in a related BS or Master’s degree 1-2 business trips to support in-market event(s) and visit company location Internship is virtual with weekly in-person coaching sessions taking place in Chicago. HIPAA & Security Requirements All Associates must comply with the Health Insurance Portability Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) as it pertains to disclosures of protected health information (PHI) as described in the Notice of Privacy Practices and HIPAA Privacy Policies and Procedures. As a component of job roles and responsibilities, Associates may have access to covered information, cardholder data or other confidential customer information which must be protected at all times. As a result, Associates must explicitly adhere to all data security guidelines established within the Company’s Privacy & Security Training Program.
