Assistant Food Services Director Job Description:
The Assistant Food Service Director is the second highest level position in the Food Service Department. The successful candidate will report to the Food Service Director and assist the Director in planning and supervising activities of the department and providing service to residents, employees and visitors. The Assistant Food Service Director assists in providing technical guidance and administrative direction over food planning, menu formulation and serving of regular and therapeutic diets.
Assistant Food Services Director Job Duties:
Assist and support the Food Service Director with daily operations.
Oversee inventory and ordering for the department.
Knowledge of local, State, Federal regulations, and survey inspection process.
Assist in resident meal tickets. Meal Tracker experience a PLUS.
Oversee the overall sanitation and cleaning of the kitchen, storage and dining areas, and equipment.
Perform other job-related duties.
Assistant Food Services Director Job Requirements:
Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
Prior experience working in a fast-paced cooking environment.
Strong knowledge of the practices utilized in large scale & therapeutic food prep.
Solid leadership and supervisory skills.
Excellent communication skills.
