The Swedish-American Chambers of Commerce, SACC‑USA, serves as the umbrella organization for 19 regional chambers across the United States. The mission of the SACC network is to facilitate and support trade, commerce, and investment between Sweden and the U.S. in both directions. Our chamber serves as a dynamic platform for the exchange of trade insights and networking opportunities. To achieve this mission, we regularly organize business forums, networking gatherings, social events, and other engaging activities that cater to both businesses and individuals within our membership base. Members derive benefits from a diverse range of services provided through our international network, and we also facilitate access to a global network of chambers of commerce and business associations. The SACC Summit and Executive Forum stand out as our two most prominent events.
Job Description The Marketing & Communications position will support the SACC‑USA network in fulfilling our mission. Your main responsibilities include keeping the website up to date, utilizing social media tools for communication, creating and developing newsletters, engaging in graphic design, and handling marketing collaterals, invitations, press releases, and other send-outs. Additionally, one primary responsibility is to support the planning and execution of networking events. The ideal candidate has a strong background in event planning, marketing, and project management. Key responsibilities include assisting with the development and implementation of event concepts and themes, coordinating with internal departments and stakeholders to ensure that events are planned and executed smoothly, and taking part in communication, member services, and day‑to‑day activities of the SACC‑USA office. Tasks include assisting with communication with our Regional Chambers, members, and other stakeholders; website management; writing and producing electronic newsletters; producing electronic and printed brochures; managing social media and other marketing activities; and organizational development to strengthen our network.
PLEASE NOTE : Candidates are welcome to apply for multiple positions at SACC, but accepting an offered position and subsequently accepting a second position at SACC is not allowed. Doing so will result in disqualification from both positions.
Requirements
Currently enrolled, or recently graduated, in a university program or graduated within a relevant field of study.
Swedish citizenship or strong ties to Sweden (for U.S. visa purposes).
Excellent verbal and written skills in both Swedish and English.
Ability to take initiative and work independently.
Knowledge of graphic design (Indesign, Photoshop, or similar) is a plus.
Preferably, previous experience in organizing events.
Software skills, including MS Office, Photoshop, and social media experience.
Benefits This is a six-month internship starting in July of 2026. The internship does not provide monetary compensation as SACC‑USA is a non‑profit organization. As an intern abroad, you can apply for scholarships. Depending on the university program, some students may also be eligible for student aid from CSN. SACC‑USA will assist with the visa application process. To be eligible for a J‑1 visa, you must be a Swedish citizen. This position provides a unique opportunity to gain valuable real‑world experience and business‑related skills, while also developing a professional international network.
