The ideal candidate would work on the cutting edge of BIM & Computation, solving design and process challenges using Autodesk Revit, ACC, coding, AI and other digital tools.

You will bring your existing skillset and passion to collaborate with engineers and BIM experts across our global practice, contributing to a reimagined role that moves beyond traditional BIM responsibilities of model production, coordination, and documentation.The BIM & Computational Designer will focus on building automation and workflow management skills across the technical team.This includes using tools like Dynamo to streamline production, integrating AI solutions, and exploring emerging software platforms to drive innovation. Expert in BIM modelling through the Autodesk Revit platform with a good knowledge of Revit MEP Responsible for BIM project set ups, review of client documents such as the BEP, and implementing BIM & Computational processes bespoke to each project. Coordinating internal BIM Kickoffs Support engineers with BIM training and technical guidance to ensure accurate design intent. Manage theuse of BIM Modelling software to support engineers engaged in analysis and production work related to the designof various building types Carry out clash investigation and visual walkthroughs using tools such as Navisworks, VR/XR, and ACC Model Coordination, reporting to the design team by way of regular project coordination workshops Ensure models are data-rich and structured to support 4D & 5D applications. Deliver ongoing Revit and computation tool training to all technical staff Develop and manage content libraries with parametric, automation-ready families. Research, evaluate, and pilot emerging BIM technologies, AI tools, and automation platforms. QAQC BIM produced design documents to ensure they uphold Buro Happold’s design standards throughout the project lifecycle Contribute to BHoM open-source platform and internal innovation initiatives. Develop automated project setup workflows leveraging AI tools and agents including ACC project creation, template deployment, and standards configuration. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across a global practice. Your skills and experience
A proven track record of BIM & excellence in design and production. An in-depth knowledge of the latest BIM standards and workflows is considered essential. A good knowledge of visual programming tools such as Dynamo or Grasshopper High proficiency in Revit and Autodesk Construction Cloud with the capability of training staff Passionate about innovation and motivated to advance workflows through AI and other cutting‑edge technologies. 3-5 years’ experience working in a studio or consultancy environment 3-5 years’ experience in managing BIM projects Bachelor’s in architecture, Engineering or Construction Management Ability to work well as part of a team and independently Strong written and verbal communication skills What we offer
Salary range of $85,000 to $110,000.
