Role Overview
We are seeking a Creative Director of Social Media & Digital Narrative Strategy to lead content architecture, campaign sequencing, and platform growth across MAP’s digital presence. This founding leadership role will:
- Define platform-specific voice and visual rhythm
- Develop cross-platform campaign rollouts
- Translate creative production into digital-native storytelling
- Align analytics with creative decision-making
The Director will ensure that every post, reel, carousel, and digital release reflects MAP’s dignity-centered mission while supporting measurable growth. This role requires creative authority, strategic thinking, and platform fluency.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee MAP’s social media strategy across platforms
- Define content cadence and campaign sequencing architecture
- Collaborate with film, photo, publishing, and podcast teams to translate creative work into digital formats
- Establish platform-specific tone and engagement standards
- Oversee visual cohesion and caption discipline
- Develop audience segmentation and growth strategy
- Monitor analytics and adjust content direction accordingly
- Ensure safeguarding and media release compliance across all digital materials
- Guide content calendar planning and seasonal rollout
- Maintain timely, professional responsiveness via email and chat in Google Workspace
Qualifications
- Background in digital marketing, social media strategy, or creative communications
- Demonstrated experience leading multi‑platform social campaigns
- Strong understanding of platform algorithms and engagement metrics
- Ability to integrate brand storytelling with performance optimization
- Experience managing creative contributors or distributed teams
- Strong strategic writing and visual literacy
Preferred Skills
- Experience in nonprofit or mission‑driven digital campaigns
- Familiarity with youth‑centered content strategies
- Experience launching creative brands or media initiativesKnowledge of analytics dashboards and growth tools
- Experience aligning social media with fundraising or partnership visibility
Commitment
- Founding leadership role
- Structured engagement (minimum 5–10 hours per week; scalable during major launches)
- Remote with NYC collaboration as needed
- 6‑month minimum commitment preferred
