Role Description This is a full‑time, on‑site role for a Mechanical Estimator located in Paducah, KY. The Mechanical Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for mechanical and plumbing system projects by analyzing project specifications, blueprints, and other documentation. Daily tasks include collaborating with project teams to determine project requirements, identifying materials and labor costs, developing budgets, and providing guidance on value engineering opportunities. Additionally, the individual will track industry trends and maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors to ensure accurate cost data.
Qualifications
Proficiency in cost estimation for mechanical and plumbing systems, including reviewing blueprints and project documentation
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
Experience in project budgeting and value engineering
Proficiency in using estimating software and tools
Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and industry regulations
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to interact with clients, vendors, and internal teams effectively
Ability to manage deadlines and work on multiple projects simultaneously
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred
Experience in the construction or contracting industry, particularly within the mechanical and plumbing disciplines, is highly desirable
