Health Benefits The Neptune Township School District participates in the New Jersey School Employees' Health Benefits Program for medical benefits. Employees will not qualify for FMLA/NJFLA until they have met the State and Federal requirements.
Dental coverage is offered through Horizon.
Vision coverage is offered through VSP.
Prescription coverage is offered through CVS.
Position Summary The above contractual position is available for the 2026-2027 school year.
Qualifications
New Jersey School Library Media Specialist Certificate or Associate School Library Media Specialist Certificate, required
Prior experience working with elementary students (preschool through grade 5), preferred
Hold an understanding and familiarity with the American Association of School Librarians (AASL) Standards and the New Jersey Student Learning Standards for English Language Arts
Essential Duties and Responsibilities See attached Job Description
Technology Skills Ability to be proficient in computer applications pertinent to support the position, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Google Suite, Frontline Applications, and Student Information System.
Evaluation of Performance Performance of this position will be evaluated annually in accordance with the New Jersey Administrative Code and Board of Education policy.
Terms of Employment 10 Month Contract. Salary and benefits as determined by the Board of Education and any applicable collective negotiations agreement. See above for specific salary information.
