Position Overview The Shipping & Receiving Specialist supports day-to-day warehouse operations by executing inbound and outbound material handling tasks with accuracy and efficiency. This role ensures materials, parts, and finished goods are properly received, inspected, stored, and prepared for shipment. This position is essential to maintaining inventory accuracy, warehouse organization, and timely order fulfillment.
Key Responsibilities Receiving
Receive and inspect inbound freight, parts, and materials.
Verify quantities against packing slips and purchase orders.
Document discrepancies and damage.
Accurately enter receiving data into warehouse management systems.
Properly stage and store inventory according to warehouse layout standards.
Shipping Support
Pick, stage, package, and label outbound dealer orders.
Assist with loading trucks and preparing freight for shipment.
Ensure proper packaging standards to minimize damage.
Prepare shipping documentation as directed.
Inventory & Warehouse Maintenance
Support cycle counts and inventory accuracy efforts.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
Assist with processing RMAs and returned materials.
Follow all safety procedures and equipment guidelines.
Skills and Qualifications
1–3 years of warehouse, shipping, or receiving experience preferred.
Basic computer skills and ability to learn warehouse management software.
Strong attention to detail.
Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain).
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical warehouse duties.
