The Escrow Assistant Is Responsible For
Ability to perform all tasks of the Escrow Assistant
Open new escrow/title orders into escrow software
Prepare and send opening letters and “thank you” acknowledgments to all parties.
Order title commitments and title policies and distribute to all parties
Order and update payoff/assumption statements as requested
Order HOA status/transfer documents as required
Order Tax Certificates as required
Enter closing data into escrow software
Prepare receipts for all funds received from customers and/or lenders
Order wire transfers and provide wiring instructions
Prepare loan packages for return to lender
Assist Escrow Officer with final policy disbursement, etc., as directed.
Cancel files according to office procedure
Customer Service – Greet, answer and appropriately route calls, emails, and other communications from lenders, buyers, attorneys, realtors, insurance companies, and others as necessary
Other duties as required

Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent
Experience directly handling escrow transactions as an escrow assistant required
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the escrow/title industry
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, etc.
Excellent written and oral communications
Ability to manage multiple projects at a time and work proficiently in a fast-paced environment
Ability to learn new software, as needed
