Field Energy Solutions Sales Consultant (SDG&E Programs)

We are looking for a San Diego–based, commission-only Field Sales Consultant to sell utility-backed energy efficiency programs in partnership with San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E). This is a fully on-site, field sales role. You will be visiting commercial properties, walking job sites, identifying upgrade opportunities, and selling energy efficiency improvements that are subsidized by SDG&E rebates. This role is ideal for someone who knows how to sell real operational work, not just talk about it.

What You’ll Be Doing

Perform on-site visits at commercial properties across San Diego

Identify and sell energy efficiency upgrades, including:

Occupancy sensors

Smart thermostats

2x4 LED lighting retrofits

Lighting controls and efficiency upgrades

Explain SDG&E rebate programs and how they significantly reduce project costs

Work directly with business owners, facility managers, and property managers

Coordinate with internal operations teams to ensure projects are executed correctly

Close deals and earn commission on completed sales

What We’re Looking For

Proven field or on-site sales experience (energy, lighting, electrical, HVAC, construction, facilities, or similar)

Comfortable walking job sites and discussing installation work and equipment

Strong communication and persuasion skills

English required (Spanish is a plus, not required)

Self‑motivated, disciplined, and able to work independently

Reliable transportation and ability to travel locally within San Diego

Available to work fully in the field (not remote)
