
Technical Program Director - Advanced Imaging Systems

We are working with a well-established and innovative medical technology company that is building a next-generation imaging platform. They are looking for a New Product Development/Technical Program Director to lead the development process and bring this product to market. This is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Boston.
About the Role This is a technical leadership position reporting directly to the CEO and a chance to make a major impact on the company's growth. You will take ownership of the entire product development process from concept through integration and release. The role requires someone who can coordinate hardware, software, and system‑level components into a complete solution. This opportunity is in the advanced imaging space—developing a next‑generation platform for surgical and interventional environments.
Responsibilities
Lead the development of a complex imaging system, managing multiple subsystems including electronics, software, and mechanical components
Build and guide cross‑functional teams and work closely with external partners
Oversee system integration, testing, and validation
Manage program timelines, budgets, and deliverables
Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards
What We're Looking For
10+ years of experience in product development for complex imaging systems
Strong background in systems engineering and hardware/software integration
Proven ability to lead multi‑site teams and manage suppliers
Experience with design control, risk management, and regulatory frameworks
Advanced engineering degree preferred
