The Director of EyeCare Equipment is responsible for maintaining the operational readiness and deployment of optometric equipment across the EyeCare portfolio with a primary focus on EyeCare exam systems and supporting equipment.

This role will be responsible for identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and value creation across the eyecare equipment portfolio through existing technologies or process improvements. They will own the execution of processes that support the successful operation and deployment of optometric equipment. These processes include but are not limited to: equipment forecasting, equipment deployment and usage trend analysis, equipment resource and budget allocation, accounts payable reconciliation, risk management, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

In partnership with brands, owner of optometric equipment allocation and distribution to support EyeCare initiatives across EssilorLuxottica North America retail locations

Responsible for determining annual optometric equipment projections to support key EyeCare projects and run‑the‑business trends for replacement pools

Identify equipment allocation risks; develop and evaluate alternative solutions to drive positive project outcomes

Ensure alignment of equipment deployments to the company and brands’ EyeCare strategy; communicate misalignment to leadership

Lead decision‑making process to ensure all equipment deployments are delivered efficiently and on‑schedule

Function as lead point of contact for internal teams and external vendors for optometric equipment orders, invoice reconciliation, and service activation dates

Serve as subject matter expert for the sourcing and distribution of optometric supplies & accessories to our offices. Discover and implement efficiencies in sourcing and OD equipment supply chains

Maintain and update critical documentation, inventory systems and optometic equipment/supplies price lists

Gather and organize pertinent information for leadership decision‑making.

Build and foster collaborative relationships with internal shared services, external vendors, and Brand functions

Actively participate in corporate‑specific seminars, webinars, and related conventions to stay abreast of industry trends

Basic Qualifications

10+ years project management experience or equivalent

Strong relationship building and collaboration skills

Ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously

Ablity to see the big picture and prioritize projects with highest business impact

Strong oral and written communication skills

Critical thinking skills

Ability to influence/negotiate

Strong technical knowledge

Optical or healthcare industry knowledge
