About the Role 10K Architecture is seeking an Interior Designer with 5+ years of professional experience to join our Minneapolis studio. This role is suited for a designer who is comfortable contributing to projects through multiple phases while working closely with architects, consultants, and project teams. The ideal candidate brings strong design sensibility along with the technical skills needed to support projects from concept development through construction documentation and installation. We are looking for someone who is organized, collaborative, and interested in continuing to grow within an integrated architecture and interiors practice.
Responsibilities
Contribute to interior design efforts across multiple projects from concept through construction
Assist with space planning, finish palettes, and material selections
Prepare construction drawings, detailing, and project documentation
Produce presentation materials, renderings, and design graphics
Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and vendors
Participate in client meetings and design presentations
Support site visits and construction phase coordination to maintain design intent
Assist with furniture planning and specifications
Coordinate with furniture dealers and manufacturers during the selection and procurement process
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from an accredited institution
5+ years of professional interior design experience
Experience working within an architecture or integrated architecture/interior design practice preferred
Familiarity with construction documentation, detailing, and specifications
Experience with furniture planning and coordination with furniture vendors
Software Proficiency
Revit
AutoCAD
SketchUp
Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
Microsoft Office
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to contribute to multiple projects in a collaborative studio environment
Preferred Experience
NCIDQ certification or interest in pursuing certification
Project experience in workplace or multifamily environments
Strong visualization and rendering abilities
