
Senior Interior Designer
10K Architecture, Minneapolis, MN, United States
10K Architecture is seeking a Senior Interior Designer with approximately 10 years of professional experience to join our Minneapolis studio. This role is suited for a designer who is comfortable leading interior design efforts within an architectural practice, managing projects through all phases, and working closely with architects, consultants, clients, and vendors. The ideal candidate brings strong design thinking along with the technical knowledge and organizational skills needed to guide projects from early concept through construction and installation. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of projects and help manage the day-to-day coordination required to move work forward.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead interior design efforts across multiple projects from concept through construction Develop space planning, finish palettes, and material selections Prepare construction drawings, detailing, and specifications Produce presentation materials, renderings, and design documentation Coordinate closely with architects, consultants, contractors, vendors, and client teams Participate in client meetings and design presentations Conduct site visits and construction phase coordination to maintain design intent Assist with project scheduling, team coordination, and overall project management Develop furniture plans and specifications, and coordinate procurement processes Work with furniture dealers and manufacturers to select, specify, and implement furnishings that align with project goals and budgets QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from an accredited institution Approximately 10+ years of professional experience Experience working within an architecture or integrated architecture/interior design practice preferred Strong working knowledge of construction standards, detailing, specifications, and building codes Experience developing furniture plans, specifications, and budgets Familiarity with furniture procurement processes and coordination with furniture vendors and dealers Proficiency with:
Revit AutoCAD SketchUp Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) Microsoft Office
Ability to manage multiple projects and communicate effectively with team members, consultants, and clients PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
NCIDQ certification, or currently pursuing certification Project experience in workplace and multifamily environments Strong visualization and rendering abilities ABOUT 10K ARCHITECTURE
