Third-party or C2C candidates will not be considered Description Provide support to the supervisor in the area of planning, implementation, execution, and administration of most or all of the following human resource functions: hourly employment, benefits, employee relations, equal employment opportunity, affirmative action, and employee analytics. Works on assignments that are moderately complex in nature, where judgment is required in resolving problems and making routine recommendations. Normally receives no instruction on routine work, general instructions on new assignments. Primary Purpose of the Role The position is a junior-level HR Specialist supporting the HR team at Wilmington, NC, manufacturing plant (approx. 1,000 employees, union environment). The primary goal is to drive employee engagement, deliver strong internal customer service, support HR operations, assist with HR data analytics, and help execute various employee events and training programs. Day-to-Day Responsibilities Plan, coordinate, and execute employee engagement events Monthly events (Pi Day, holiday parties, ice cream day, etc.) Plant's 60th anniversary and Family Day Support Events and Recognition Committee Coordinate training sessions and leadership classes Act as a primary HR customer service contact Answer employee questions on timecards, benefits guidance, HR processes Support HR data analytics Monthly headcount reporting Department-level transition tracking Excel-based reconciliation analyses Support creation or enhancement of dashboards (Excel / Power BI) Assist with SharePoint file structure migration and potential automation/agents General HR office support in a union facility dealing with high transaction volume Support senior leaders and managers with HR information needs Ensure events and programs are delivered on time, on budget, with measurable impact Required Skills (Must-Have) Strong interpersonal and communication skills Exceptional writing and verbal communication Customer service orientation toward employees and managers Microsoft Office proficiency, especially: Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs required) Ability to think in systems Understand how one change impacts other processes Attention to detail Self-driven, proactive work style Ability to operate in a large, fast-paced manufacturing environment (helpful but not strictly required) Nice-to-Have Skills Advanced data analytics capabilities Power BI Dashboard creation Experience implementing new technology (automation, agents, SharePoint migration) Experience in a large company or manufacturing HR Experience in HRIS systems SAP SuccessFactors (preferred, but not required) Union environment experience (not a requirement but a plus Education Bachelor's degree preferred Will consider an Associate degree 5 7 years strong HR experience Candidate must demonstrate strong written communication if applying without a bachelor's degree Top Skills: -Employee Customer Service -Reporting -Data Analysis -Employee Benefits Support -Talent Acquisition Experience: 3 years in Human Resources Interview Process The hiring process will be fast-moving (3 5 days) and includes: Resume screening by hiring manager and recruiter Video interview On-site, in-person interview About us: DivIHN, the 'IT Asset Performance Services' organization, provides Professional Consulting, Custom Projects, and Professional Resource Augmentation services to clients in the Mid-West and beyond.
