Our client, a prominent organization in the financial industry, is seeking an IT Director to oversee their Information Technology department. This role offers the opportunity to shape the enterprise-wide data governance strategy, ensuring data is secure, well-managed, and utilized for strategic decision-making. Collaborating with senior leadership, you will help drive sustainable business growth and uphold the highest standards of data compliance and quality.

Responsibilities

• Direct the successful delivery of IT services, including hardware, software, and network technologies.
• Oversee the implementation of new IT procedures and techniques to ensure technological excellence.
• Supervise the selection and deployment of hardware, software, and team resources.
• Develop IT project plans, including resource allocation, schedules, and budgets.
• Serve as the primary liaison to business stakeholders for IT solutions that improve key performance indicators.
• Foster collaboration among leadership groups within and outside the IT domain.
• Provide regular feedback and performance reviews to ensure team engagement and development.

Must-Have Skills

• 5+ years of experience in IT leadership roles (7+ years preferred).
• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Proven expertise in enterprise data management and governance strategies.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
• Experience in IT project planning and execution, including budgeting and resourcing.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) certification.
• Knowledge of metadata management, data lineage, and integration best practices.
• Proven track record in change management and establishing best practices in data governance.
• Strong communication skills to engage stakeholders across technical and executive teams.
• Experience with scalable data models and target-state architecture design.
