Business Development Director – Resources Industry
Location: East Coast, USA (Any Major City)
About The Role
TCS is helping enterprises discover their purpose while driving growth and transformation across the Resources industry. We are seeking a Business Development Director to expand our footprint in North America by building strategic relationships, identifying new opportunities, and serving as a market-facing leader for transformation-driven conversations. This is a senior, high-impact role responsible for new client acquisition, competitive positioning, and market outreach within the Resources sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
- Drive lead generation, prospecting activities, and pipeline creation.
- Build trusted, long-term relationships with senior leaders across target accounts.
- Partner closely with TCS market development and solution sales teams to align offerings with client needs.
- Support clients through initial engagement phases and ensure a high level of satisfaction throughout the relationship lifecycle.
- Contribute to market research, competitive intelligence, and positioning efforts.
- Follow all TCS policies, standards, and guidelines.
- Present effectively to establish credibility, trust, and interest with prospective clients.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Proven hunter profile with success selling technology outsourcing and digital transformation services in the Resources industry.
- Strong consultative selling experience with the ability to lead business transformation discussions.
- Consistent achievement of new client acquisition targets.
- 12–15 years of experience selling IT services (Applications, Infrastructure, Digital, AI, Business Process Services).
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex negotiations.
- Experience managing large, cross-functional pursuit teams.
Travel Requirements
Travel to client sites for lead generation, presentations, negotiations, and relationship development. Candidate must reside within the assigned East Coast region.
Education
Bachelor’s degree required.
Salary Range: $180,000 – $380,000 a year
