Role Description
Experienced business affairs executive or entertainment attorney needed to draft and review various development, production, and distribution deals as they relate to 101 Studios’ media projects. You will structure, negotiate, and draft agreements relating to the development, production, and distribution of feature‑length motion pictures, television shows documentaries and docuseries, and podcasts as needed. You will advise 101 Studios’ executives and team members on business and legal issues relating to these areas and other areas, as assigned.
- Take a lead role in structuring, and drafting agreements for all forms of development and production deals, vendor deals, and rights deals, including, without limitation: books, articles, and life story releases
- Work cross‑functionally with a broad range of 101 Studios’ departments to provide information, legal advice, and consultation services on a regular basis
- Provide advice on production issues, including guild issues (i.e., SAG, DGA, WGA, and IATSE) and clearance issues
- Prepare internal documents related to tracking and updating the status of various aspects of the business and legal affairs process
- Ad hoc business affairs support as needed
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of legal issues, talent and rights deals in the feature film business
- Extensive experience in Business Affairs and Contract Negotiation
- Strong knowledge of Entertainment Law and related regulations
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities for collaboration with diverse teams
- JD degree from an accredited law school and active bar membership
- Experience in the entertainment or media industry is highly preferred
Salary Range $145,000 - 195,000
