Customer Service Representative

The Customer Service Representative plays a crucial role in supporting the Customer Service Supervisor and the department by performing daily activities such as creating and issuing invoices, initiating billing cycles, and verifying appropriate charges. The role involves generating freight quotes using established company policies and procedures, while providing excellent customer service support via telephone and email. Responsibilities: Create and issue invoices accurately. Initiate billing cycles and verify charges. Generate quotes for freight following company policies. Provide excellent customer service support by email and telephone. Communicate client needs, concerns, and delivery information. Manage and respond to a queue of around 100-200 emails/updates per day. Provide status updates and proof of delivery to customers. Manage internal orders with the warehouse team. Essential Skills: Proficiency in data entry and customer service. Ability to manage and communicate effectively with customers via email (90% of the time) and phone (10% with internal teams). Strong organizational skills to handle a large volume of emails and updates. Efficient in the use of MS Office, especially email applications. Additional Skills & Qualifications: High School diploma or GED equivalent. One-year of business billing experience is advantageous. Experience in the transportation or logistics industry is a plus. Work Environment: The work environment is an office setting with a team of about 14 Customer Service Representatives. Shifts may vary within the operating hours of 7 AM to 6 PM and will be discussed during the interview process. Adherence to a professional dress code is required, and workout wear is not permitted. Job Type & Location: This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Reno, NV. Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
