EXPERIENCED Automotive Parts Specialist Location: 14546 Potranco Rd. San Antonio, Texas 78253 As an Parts Specialist with Christian Brothers Automotive Stevens Ranch, you are the main associate that will manage everything associated with parts at our location. We manage between $1.5M - $2M of parts a year. You will be responsible for managing the checking all parts, confirming quality of the parts received, assigning parts to technician boxes per repair order, communicating with technicians and advisors when parts have all arrived, coordinate with our technicians to assess parts needs during repair, order necessary speciality parts, maintain inventory levels, maintain shop supplies and tools, complete parts reconciliation monthly and be the most knowledgable associate when looking for a part for a guest. This position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with both guests and team members. Responsibilities will include but will not be limited to: Estimate Repair Orders from the technicians Digitial Vehicle Inspection Report Receiving and ordering parts for vehicles that are in the repair approval process Entering parts information into work orders Managing in house parts inventory Initiating and documenting parts returns Initiating and following up on warranty claims with vendors Move vehicles from intake spots to stage for the next step in the process Reconciling Monthly Part Statements Pay Vendor Monthly Statements Be the back up for all Advisor tasks like shuttling our guests Various other administrative tasks and light janitorial duties as required Other duties as assigned Qualifications
Qualifications: You must have 5+ years of parts experience. Must have a valid driver's license. Driving record must be acceptable to our insurance carrier. Prior computer and customer service experience required. Must be able to occasionally lift and maneuver 50+ lbs. High school education is a plus. Good communication skills and a desire and ability to work with the public. Strong attention to detail and organization skills required. Previous experience as a counter person at an auto parts store is a plus. Physical Requirements: Occasionally lift and/or move over 100 pounds. Be able to work with tools on vehicles lifted above their head. Work in tight spaces as dictated by the vehicle's needed repair. Have the needed dexterity in order to efficiently use hand tools. Walk/stand for the majority of their workday. Drive manual transmissions vehicles. Efficiently navigate a computer. Additional Information
